Puppy Chow - a treat for people

Picture this: smooth, creamy chocolate and peanut butter melted together to cover each crunchy bite of Rice Chex cereal in pure deliciousness, then bonus! it all gets dusted with powdered sugar. Can you stand it?? Grab that box of cereal from the back of your cupboard and add some pizzazz to it by following along with this easy recipe. You’ll be glad you did.

Ingredients:

1⅓ cups (240g) chocolate chips

⅔ cup (170g) peanut butter

12 cups (340g or 1 box) gluten free Rice Bitz or Chex cereal

2 - 3 cups powdered sugar, depending on your preference

Steps:

  1. Place chocolate chips and peanut butter in a large nonstick skillet; melt on low heat, stirring until it is all melted

  2. Add rice cereal; turn off heat; gently mix until evenly coated

  3. Place ½ - ¾ cup powdered sugar in a 1 gallon zip lock bag

  4. Add about half of your coated cereal mix

  5. Let lots of air into your bag; seal bag and shake until evenly coated

  6. Add another ¼ - ½ cup powdered sugar and shake some more

  7. Add more powdered sugar or more coated cereal to get the mix just the way you like it

Repeat steps 3 - 7 for 2 or 3 times to get the whole batch covered
